This is my second Rock of Ages cross necklace. If you recall, I took these cross shaped metal bales to my favorite hiking spot at the Mandan Indian Mound Historical Site and collected some of the pretty rocks there. For the pendants, I placed a layer of pebbles on top of some crystal lacquer to form the base, then I added these lovely rocks that I found on the trail to covered the whole shebang with a layer of high gloss spray lacquer to polish them up and add shine. For this necklace, I strung a series of lovely natural stones in all shapes and colors. I also included some beautiful semi-precious Carnelian ovals and Carnelian agate nuggets.

This necklace is a bit longer than the other one that I wired together to form a chain. This thing is LOADED with rocks! I love it! "And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." Luke 19:40

In the back, I included an extender chain so you can adjust the necklace even longer if you wish. At the bottom of the chain I placed a pretty little cross as a finishing detail.
